Type Locality and Naming

By the Koksarai mountain, Southern Fergana. A.D. Miklouho-Maclay, G.S. Porshnyakov, 1961 (296, p. 13).

Synonym: Koksaian suite


Lithology and Thickness

Organogenic-detrital limestones, marls, siltstone (aleurolites) with layers of sandstones and clayey-siliceous slates. At the base, limestone and serpentinite-limestone conglomerates and conglobreccias with fragments of sandstones and metamorphic slates. Thickness 20-130m.


Lithology Pattern: 
Shallow-marine marl


Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

With angular unconformity lies on the Kaindi Fm or on the metaultrabasites of the Kan Fm

Upper contact

It is overlain with erosion by the Kalmakbulak Fm

Regional extent

Southern Fergana, Karachatyr mountains.
